Establishing an ethical work environment is a leader’s responsibility but encouraging and maintaining it is everyone’s responsibility. Leaders that are personally committed to an ethical, respectful, and productive workplace model the behaviors that create trust, demonstrate fairness, and encourage everyone to reach their full potential. This training program defines the many types of ethical choices present in the workplace, what enables and gets in the way of the ethical choices we make, and how leaders can positively influence the culture of their organization through an increased awareness of workplace ethics.

To inform, educate, and inspire leaders to guide others through ethical decision-making and leadership.

Course Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and identify the different components of ethical and professional competency
  • Understand, identify, and state the difference between confidential information and private information
  • Define, recognize, and avoid common conflicts of interest
  • Understand and recognize key communication dynamics that influence honesty, candor
  • Describe how ethics issues can arise from poor communication
  • Understand and identify the powerful role organizational culture and cognitive decision-making play in ethics and employee well-being and retention
  • Develop an Ethics/Compliance culture and a “Morality of Mindfulness”
