This program will introduce participants to the “rewards” side of an organization – the compensation and benefits. Participants will look at what the considerations are when deciding to establish a compensation plan and what types of plans there are along with benefit options and considerations to keep in mind when deciding which to offer.

Course Goal
To provide participants an overview of compensation plans and the compensation planning process including benefits and the creation of the Total Compensation Package.

Course Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Determine which type of compensation plan will work for their organization
  • Explain the role of job descriptions in setting compensation levels
  • Read salary surveys and understand their use in compensation plans
  • Define what to ask when determining benefit options
  • Identify benefits to add or delete
