2024 Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon

Economic Realities During an Election Year – Analyzing the Past and Projecting the Future for Michigan Business Leaders

Rescheduled from May 20, 2024

Come celebrate The Association’s 85th year of serving the community at our Annual Business Meeting on August 19, 2024. Meet The Association’s new President, Nick Kacher, only the sixth leader in the Organization’s storied past. Join us as we welcome this year’s keynote speaker, Steve Bernhardt from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, who will deliver a practical message to help business leaders better understand election year economics to help them minimize negative impacts on their operations AND help maintain their personal financial strength. While there is little THAT we can do individually about our current Election Year issues and concerns, we CAN learn how to prepare for anticipated market turbulence and make informed decisions about our personal financial position no matter what happens in November.

Prior to our Keynote presentation, The Employers’ Association will conduct its 84th Annual Business Meeting summarizing last year’s financial results (presented by our CPA’s (H&S Companies) and our accomplishments in supporting local business, detailing our action plan for 2024 under Nick’s leadership, and reviewing the Board’s expanded role in keeping The Association on track during a year of transition.

Steve Bernhardt, Vice President at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, is a Client Advisor within the Global Funds Management Group and has been with J.P. Morgan since 2012. Steve is responsible for all aspects of business development and sales for Western Michigan and Northern Indiana for the Independent Broker Dealer Division by providing support and quarterly updates to the brokers that handle client investments and financial planning. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Steve spent 11 years as a Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo Advisors. He will be sharing his insights, perspectives, and analysis of today’s economic environment and how to best plan for both the immediate and long-term future during an election year. This presentation should be a “must see” given the complexity (and hostility) of this year’s election cycle.

Please join us as we celebrate TEA’s relationship-driven history and look forward to many more years of providing practical solutions that will ensure both your business and personal success.
