This course provides an overview of critical wage/salary administration practices needed by HR, Finance or Administrative Professionals desiring to develop an internally equitable/externally competitive Compensation Administration program. The topics covered include working with a job rating system, writing and analyzing job descriptions and discussing ways to link performance with compensation.

To cover the fundamentals of wage/salary administration and provide participants with the resources, skills, and experience to establish an effective compensation administration system.

  • Work with job rating / ranking systems to identify essential skills and abilities required to perform assigned tasks in order to establish internal equity
  • Establish pay grades and pay ranges
  • Create legally compliant job descriptions
  • Effectively link pay to performance
